I doubt that SE846 has such a low resolution. Any error in measurement or any bias on hearing?

It has no treble extension. Don't be fooled by the high price tag.

I am no audiophile, but treble extension = resolution???

A lack thereof can hamper the perceived resolution.

extension is part of element of good resolution.

good extension on both low and high + overall flatter response + Low THD is the tree most comment and important element of a good resolution

Every time I come here I start shaking my head in unbelief at the reviewers opinion.

It's starting to become an epic parody.

The SE 846 Blue are the best the IEM world has to offer, sound quality wise.. no exaggeration. Even an utter basshead would be pleased with the Black filter. These things are true reference. Whoever the design team for this model is, they must have some of the most 'Golden' ears on earth. And they are made to be played loud, really loud. Your ideal flat-ass iems would be an instant pain in the ear at such high levels.. You know it too.
The only gripe against it that I can imagine, is the super high price.. which  IMHO is worth it, but I'm sure the seriously audio-inclined peeps would appreciate if it came down. Me too.
You say they have sub-standard resolution? No way.. you need to get your hearing checked bro.. Or maybe you listen at low levels...

I apologize for my statements.. they have a lil bit fake mids. I heard some instruments 4real and then through songs, audio files. These change the timbre noticeably, not much, but noticeably. Once you've heard the real thing, it isn't enjoyable any more. Treble extension is not poor in any way though. It's not offensive in any way, that's the good thing. These are not a good value above 600 new. SE535 probably better than this, but do not have bass.. damn.
I digged a lot on HeadFi and came to the conclusion that almost all phones change the timbre, which is very sad. If someone knowledgeable reads this, please suggest me a phone which changes the timbre as less as possible ..
UM Merlin seems to be nice.. good bass (I'm a basshead, can't live with no sub bass), just to 'take care' of the mid bass hump and should be wow..
