What was the serial number of the T1 that was tested ? Beyerdynamic re-tuned the driver after the serial number somewhere between 3900 -3950, after some reviews and complaints that the treble of T1 is too shrill. Later T1s have less treble presence in the 8000-10000 Hz range. If you tested an early number then you should try the newer T1.
